SACOTA, in collaboration with DALRRD, hosted two delegates from the NPPO of Egypt, Mr Islam Aboelela and Moustafa Tolba, from 25 – 29 February 2024. During their visit, the delegates participated in a series of strategic meetings with DALRRD and key industry stakeholders. They were taken on an extensive tour encompassing various components of the value chain, including maize and soybean farms, silo operations, a crushing plant, and the harbour facilities. The primary objective of their visit was to facilitate the regulatory approval process for the exportation of maize and soybeans to Egypt. The feedback from the delegates was positive and we are now only awaiting the final official approval. A detailed report will be published soon.
